A rally has been organized by various stakeholders from the freight transport industry, including the Teamsters Union, to protest the McGuinty government’s decision to limit the speed of trucks on Ontario’s roads. The Teamsters Union opinion is that Bill 41 will have a negative impact on the safety of those who use Ontario’s roads.
The rally will take place at Queen’s Park on March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Main Legislative Building.
Let us recall that Jim Bradley, Ontario Minister of Transportation, had meetings with the Ontario Trucking Association, but chose to disregard what Teamsters Union representatives had to say about this crucial issue. However, the Teamsters Union represents tens of thousands of workers in the transport industry.
