Teamsters Local Union 987 is proud to welcome the 36 employees of Havi Logistics who have ratified their first collective agreement. The employees were certified with Local Union 987 on August 18, 2009, after voting 100% in favour of their first collective agreement on March 19, 2010.

Havi Logistics is the sole supplier of the Starbucks restaurants in Alberta, and the certification covers the entire Province. This new group of Teamster members are happy to have a collective agreement in place that provides them with improved benefits, no contracting-out language and, most important, a voice in their daily activities in the workplace.

Many of the day-to-day issues that the workers were faced with and had no voice in have now been resolved through their first collective agreement.
